what do you mean sub would be free standing behind the driver's seat? well, don't tell me, i don't think i want to know.

anyhow, you best way to get the signals form your stock headunit would be at the amp connector in the trunk. from here you would find the outputs from the stock headunit for remote turn on, and left/right low level outputs for both front and rear. you can find the pin outs at unofficial bmw.
