Some 16-year old biznatch rear-ended me at 40-50 MPH. The entire rear section of my car was jacked up... including the exhaust system and chasis. I think the body shop I went to made the estimate to the claims adjuster for $8,000. They had to straighten the chasis (don't ask me how), replace the entire exhaust system, and replace every rear body panel. It took 5 weeks, but my car looked like new afterwards... there have been a few problems since the accident - there is a noticeable gap between my trunk lid and rear body panel... I'm gonna go get it fixed by the same body shop (and the biznatch's insurance company is gonna pay) in a couple of weeks. I guess the car just didn't settle right... what an inconvenience!
