anyone who talks to a reputable body shop person will find out - with modern unibody cars and sophisicated techniques, MOST damage can be repaired to 'new' car tolerances.

the reason is that manufacturers make the cars a lot more modular than they use to. another reason is that autobody shops have gotten a lot more sophisicated.
