My friend and I just installed a triflo quiet version for his 95 M3. One word: Awesome! The sound is like that of a throaty V8! I used to have the regular triflo and this exhaust is definitely much better...No resonance at all throughout the cabin...but definitely a screamer at WOT! I just might have to sell my SS and pick up one of these exhausts!

I've been running a B&B Tri-Flo "touring" exhaust...new one with the "refined growl"...for about 4 months on my 98 M3 sedan. Past complaints about Tri-Flos being "too loud" seem to have subsided with its entry in the market. Perhaps some of the SS and AA folks will become believers and swith over. Combined with my Dinan software, it's an awesome combination for a modest price. The "growl" draws attention without being offensive. I echo your "V-8" comment. Your friend made a great choice. Spread the word.
