There much more interested in getting someone 20+ plus over than 7. Doesn't bring in much money. So many people speed that a few minutes wait can bring in another 100+ bucks. Maybe in San Jose 7 over is a big deal, but is not much in the rest of the US. I run 13 over on average and the one time I did get pulled over it was a reason to inspect the car for drugs. And I'm a white guy from PA. I guess I should be thankful for that, but I do feel really bad that black people often get pulled over for any reason possible.

I heard that it was safe to drive 7 mph over the speed limit, and a cop will not pull you over. 7mph isthe threshold between letting you go and pulling you over. This is because the Radar and Laser guns al have a 7mph margin of error.

Don't quote me on this, but this is what my calculus teacher told me. She knows this because her husband is a Police Officer in San Jose, CA.
