Hey Kelly, Your tires are the same size as mine. The guys at Discount/American Tire recommend about 30 to 32 psi for normal street. You can go up to 40 psi for track. If you run more than 32 for street you'll feel more bumps on the road. At the track where its all smooth, the higher pressure improves the handling and helps keeps the (harder) tire from damage.

OK, here's my problem: I have Bridgestone Potenza S-02 Pole Position tires (235/40ZR17) on my 95 M3. The sidewall of the tires say 44psi max. But the owners manual says anywhere from 29 - 36psi. Right now they're filled to about 35psi.

Do I go with what BMW recommends or what Bridgestone recommends?

Suggestions? Comments? Thanks in advance for your help.
-Kelly
