I like the Pirelli P7000 Supersport. They are ultra high performance all seasons but have the same tread as the summer version of the tire. Very good traction in dry and wet conditions and yet will last longer than the Pirelli P7000 summer tire and most other tires. UTOG 320AA rating. Cost is hard to beat at $134 per tire at Discount Tire for 225/45/ZR-17 size. Will last a lot longer than Michelin Pilots and Bridgestone Potenza S02 at significantly less cost.

I just got my first M3 yesterday and I noticed whirring noise while driving coming from the wheels. Is this typical with 17" wheels? The tires need to be replaced and they have about 20 percent tread left could this be the problem? Also what do you guys thing would be the best all around tire to get, factoring in tread life, performance and price? Thanks
