OK, I will try to be as detailed as I can. If you have the chance to look at BMW repair manual, it would really help. First, under the inside door handle, there are two cutouts. You can pry those out with a flathead screwdriver. Then, you will see two special screws. For these, you will need a screwdriver with a star point (it's hard to describe). The point will look like an asterisk (*), but I don't know what size. I just happened to find one. It would be a good idea to have a magnetized screwdriver so you won't drop the screws. Remove the screws. Then, carefully pull on the inside door handle while pushing on the metal part of the door. The door panel should then separate from the door itself. Don't pull to hard or you may pull the wires connecting to the mirror. It will sound like you are breaking something, but you are not as there are plastic rivets that hold the panel to the door. Once finished, line up all the plastic rivets and push hard on the panel into the door, and replace the screws. If you break a rivet, you can easily buy one from a dealer for a few cents. Hope this helps. Good luck.
