I have a rock chip on the front windshield. The windshield has not cracked. I showed it to the BMW service guy and he said that it might crack there due to change in temperatures. He said they can get it fixed by drilling a whole there and filling it with glass resin.
Any one has had such experience before?
How does the glass resin treatment look? Can you make out that the windshield has been repaired?

Thanks.
