OK, by mid morning I was wacko from trying to figure out what was happening, and since my mind was on the car, I wasn't doing my employer any good, so I went out to the car and walked through it again...I took apart the sunroof and maplight covers and checked all the wires again, all were fine...I looked at the sunroof and windowlift fuses again, all were fine...I tried the windows and sunroof again, nothing...I tried the map lights again, worked THEN...went out, nothing??? They were working this morning, I took everything apart once more, looked over the wiring, all fine, I went to the MAPLIGHT fuse, looked it over, no burnt, scorched area, bridge intact..I put it back in and tried the maplights, they worked for a split second and went out...I replaced the fuse with a different one and voila, not only did the maplights come on, but now the windows AND sunroof work fine again...I'm guessing the SUNROOF and WINDOW LIFT fuses are for the respective motors? and the MAPLIGHT fuse must not only relay power to the maplights but also must relay power to the window and sunroof switches.....fearing a short somewhere or a loose contact in the fusebox, I've gone out three times in as many hours and all is fine.....bad, twitchy fuse, I guess!
