I was finally able to get to the dealer today to get my damn check engine light checked out (redundant?). As it turns out they found it to be caused by a "major fuel leak", AKA the gascap was on wrong. This is kinda weird because I checked it and filled up the tank after the light came on. Whatever, I'm just glad I didn't jack my car in any serious way and that it wasn't anything expensive (you can't beat free eh?). Also, I was pretty impressed with Tate BMW here in Maryland and would recommend them, didn't charge me a dime. I didn't buy my car there but they were very prompt and courteous. Thanks all for your imputs (Jon Caldito, Bobm3, [email protected]) and sorry it was only the damn gascap, I couldn't friggin believe it. Oh well...
