I had to get new brakes cuz my rotors were bad...so I ordered new slotted rotors...brembro, and I love the rotors....but when I was ordering them, the sales man talked me into getting the carbon metallic pads aswell! The braking is awesome...but the brakes squeak a lil! I asked them why, and they explained to me how the pads have lil metalic parts which help grab the rotor better, but when metal meets metal..it cause the squeak! They say you can apply some substance that eliminates the squeak! My mechanic added it but still squeaks a lil.....hope this helps!
Good Luck,
Shawn

you really bed them in. I put some in prior to a driving school and they really squealed on the drive up. After on day on the track, they were quiet except when real hot. I still think street pads are better for daily driving and will equal PF's other than multiple stops. I do change mine for schools and have had good luck with standard PF carbon metallics (no fade, but I do use lots of pad).
