WHat do you think about getting an extended warranty from warrentydirect or gold, I mean if I bought one of those could I take it in to the bimmer dealership to get everything small done, like changes and tune ups and minor things, would those bumper to bumper extended warranties cover small things like that if i got the 0 deductible at the dealerships?

It's a good idea to buy one though, as the BMW
can get real expensive if just the transmission goes. (Warranty will pay for itself if this happens) A warranty is just that, insurance against paying for catastrophic failures. It won't
cover maint or wear items (although some of the newer warranties will cover wear items) so you have to take care of that stuff yourself. If something breaks though, it covers that, and with
ANY car, you never know what will happen.
