There's a white wire that needs to be connected to the power out ant lead of your after market stereo. This turns on the antenna amplifier. This wire is located is the same harness that was connected to the eom stereo.

My fm reception has not been perfect.(Worst reception than a stock headunit) I bought the car with a Kenwood Excelon headunit. Now, here's the situation... When I switch to AM, I barely get any reception. Mostly static and when I gas; I hear a ticking from the speakers. The harder I accelerate, the faster the ticking. When I floor it, the ticking sounds become whiny-like. How can I fix this?

ps. When listening to the fm radio, I hear static interference when I turn on the rear defroster.
