For about $3K you can bump up the hp with a new factory turbo, new chip, exhaust, intake, and a few other mis. parts. With this you will turn mid 14sec 1/4 runs. And 6 second 0-60 runs. One thing to keep in mind is that 3rd gear in a 1.8t A4 sucks. Hence the low 1/4 times.

As for S4s, I would get one for the mod $ per hp issue. You can take the stock car, put in a tuned (psi boosted on the turbos) chip and bam! you have 50hp extra for around $500. My M3 exhaust almost cost that much :( The down fall to it is that the suspension feels pretty loose. Nothing near as nimble as the Ms. The quattro will help you pull faster corners though, I mean pull out of corners faster.

As for the TT I would not bank on much here. It is not running the same quattro system as the A4/S4. I don't remember the details but most likely the fastest and dependable one you will ever encounter will have 250hp. Via, chip, exhaust, and possibly intake. There are a few crazy ones with 300 hp but they make up less than 1% of the TTs.

Overall, the S4 is one to look out for. With the right driver they can take the twisties with you. And with 1/4mile times coming in at 13.0-13.6, with only a chip, then they are a menace in a straight line. Just my input. If anyone doubts me then come down to Phoenix Firebird raceway and watch them. Kind of sucks when I post a low 14/high 13.
