Same thing happened to me but I drove in much deeper water. Same kind of thing. The engine wouldn't start. MAKE SURE THE ENGINE RUN FINE (NO VIBRATION) AFTER EVERYTHING DRY. If not, the engine might got hydro lock (water in the cylinder). Since water does not compress, it will bend the connecting rod when you crank the engine. My engine did blow after 2000 miles. The connecting rod broke and I was just leaving a gas station SLOWLY when it happen. I believe I did get hydro lock. Just check your air filter and see how wet it is. My was stock in air box and it was very wet.
