If you want to keep your factory amp and all your BMW speakers hooked up then you need to get a new head unit to replace the factory. One w/ dual pre-amp outs. This is a really good idea, even if you dont get too pricy of a new one it will be way better than stock. I did it in my '96 328is and threw in two MTX 10"'s and a Alpine V12 amp and it sounds amazing. Good luck w/ the car purchase
