Ok,

I just ordered a new set of tires and rims about a week ago, and have been feeling that the front end wasn't tight enough and that the front tires didn't have enough traction. So, I decided to first try to play with the tire pressures. I decided to start with 36 psi all around.

So, as I drove off I felt the car still feeling somewhat loose and skittish (sp?) and it just didn't feel planted. After a short drive, I went out to dinner, the car sat in the parking lot for about 2-3 hours. Afterwards, when I was driving my car on the way home, the car felt great. Front tires felt really grippy, front-end felt stiff, and the car felt really planted.

Now, what the hell happened? Did the air in the tires compress or something and did I then reach the optimal tire pressure? Seriously, the difference was like night and day. I don't think I have any leaks since the wheel/tire package is about a week old.

Someone please explain, I was thinking about having a major inspection on my front-end because the looseness was pissing me off so much.

Thanks!
