I thought it was my UUC Sway bars. Thanks for your input Jim, I'll check and see if my differential bolts are broken. Mine is 97 Coupe...

Thanx,

JT,

What year is your car? I had something similiar happen to me in my 99'. I would hear a sound like you described going over bumps. The sound could also be heard when you first take off from a dead top going forward or backward.

I limped it to the dealer and later found out a differential bolt had broken. I asked about it on this board and I think several people with 98-99 cars responded having had a similar problem.

Well that's my experience.

Tonight when my car was over speed bumps (in parking lot at quite low speed), I heard some strange noise that seem to come from front wheels (or from where my left foot is). It sounded a bit like metal hitting each other though a bit muffled. I've heard alot of worn rear shock mount complains for M3s. Could this be a worn front shock mount??

(Never heard of the noise from worn shock mounts, so I could only guess.)

I also got x-brace on... could it also be a lose x-brace?
