I have a '96 with the luxury pkg, and was interested in replacing all the wood trim (brake handle, door handle grips, piece above glove box, center console trim, ashtrays etc.

I was thinking about contacting a friend of mine in Germany about that too. He make CNC al. stuff for Miatas and Z3's.

BUT the only disadvantages about using aluminum is it likes to dent and scratch really easily. (SOFT Metal).

I had a stainless steel dash kit on my last Miata which was REALLY nice but I heard it's a pain to form....

I've seen some nice carbon fiber stuff on

Once aluminum gets scratched, then it tends to oxidize, which gets ugly. I really like stainless, but haven't had any luck finding it.
