I use my old honda jack to jack up my car.. i just line it up with that hockey puck lookin thing and jack it up.. once, it slid off of the hocky puck thing when i was under the car, but it didnt fall all the way down (or i'd be dead).. it just slid to the side of the hockey puck thing.. whew..

I'm about to buy a trolley jack,jackstands and ramps to work on my car but I'm wondering if I need the adaptors for the jackstands. i.e. Is it okay
to put the U-shaped jackstand underneath the hockey pucks?

I believe they cost about $40 so hopefully I don't.

p.s. Any suggestions on the best place to buy this stuff? (Sears, wal-mart, pep-boys, target?)
