A company making sway bars and/or other after-market accessories would probably have to buy a sh*t load of the more expensive 4130 to get any kind of break on a quantity--either that or pass the cost on to the consumer. I wonder what the relative cost vs "lesser quality" steel would be. . .

Might be interesting to have a cost/benefit analysis (but no company would volunteer that kind of info, probably), or, failing that, a "retail cost" breakdown of materials/design/labor/marketing percentages. Then a consumer could decide "how much" of "what" would be best for any individual situation (?)
