Perhaps I should be thankful that it lasted 13 days sans drama. I will never forget the first beautiful, nostalgic days of my first M3. Anyway, I warmed it up this morning, drove it to the car wash, and while I was waiting for the spray-bay to open up, the light comes on! I was just sitting there doing nothing....damnit. Where was it when I took that last offramp? Today at the Autocross (Devens AFB, Ma.) most M owners started telling me my O2 sensor is going, is gone, to get used to the light being on, that it comes on for trivial reasons, etc. Well, I will NOT get used to that light being on, and if the car indeed trips that light so easily then I shall get myself a reset tool. Has anyone had any experience with these? Do they come with a list of fault codes so that I can call my dealership with the result and tell them the problem rather than have them take the car for a day only to run the same tool against it? I know this time the car will go in for the light reset just to be sure, but the more I think of it, the smarter this reset tool sounds. What frustrates me is that right now I have no mods. The UDP hasn't been installed yet and I have already shot a check engine light! What might happen when I have the ECIS and the chip? I think I will definitely need the reset tool...so any and all advice will be greatly appreciated guys, because right now my first trip is up to Newburyport to grab one from Turner. Thanks, Chris
