Ideally, you'll want that switch/sensor to sample the air that the engine is getting. That way, it'll work just like it did from the factory. Now, if you live in a climate that never gets freezing temperatures, then you can zip-tie it somewhere in the engine compartment and you'll be good to go.

I just got my Dinan CAI and I noticed that it does not accomodate the sensor that is pluged into the factory airbox. What do I do about fitting it in? What have you guys done to incorporate it? I'm hesitant to keeping such a beautiful piece of work, the intake that is. I'm very curious. Mine is a 1995 M3, so any of ytou guys with these afermarket intakes, I'd like to here what you did. Thanks.
