I am looking to replace my rear tires. 245/40's. My rear tread is dangerously low, so it's time for my cheap ass to get some new rubber. Is it ok to run MXX3's in front and AVS's in the back?

Sure, it's ok to do that. I would not reccomend it at all though. The car is already set up enough for understeer, and the addition of more traction to the rear (AVS Sports) will only make it worse. However, I guess my reccomendation is not the most important thing in the world, so do what you please.

Also, where is the cheapest place to get AVS's?

I got mine from TireRack and I was very pleased with their customer service, pricing, and availability.

Any other tires you guys suggest in the same price range. dont want to spend too much

The Yoko Pradas are supposed to be pretty good, and I've heard praise of Toyo Prokes.
