I think the comparison is, it flows as well as K&N but with better filtration. I think the filtration was similar or close to OEM paper filters. I don't think it filtered better than paper.

Completely ignoring the products here, is it possible for something to flow better AND filter better? It just doesn't make sense to me. If I open up my front door, more air will pass through, but so can large objects. It would seem that increased airflow must go hand in hand with worse filtration. I have no problems with aftermarket intakes, but I don't think anyone can contest that the stock airbox filters better. If you can accept slightly more dirt getting into the engine, which I'm sure most people don't mind, you'll be rewarded with better performance. Seems to me that this is just how things work. People shouldn't believe that they are both improving power AND filtration. Correct me if I'm wrong.
