Isnt the limit at 139mph limited electronically to comply with some import law for BMW or something, so that they can be certified road legal or safe enough? I personally think that a BMW chassis and body is safer than a fibreglass Corvetter, dont you? Without the speed governor, I have read on this board that the M3 should be able to reach 155......
