Chips, Airfilter and Water Pump Question (archive)

I have a '95 M3, all stock. Which chip is best for enhanced street driving performance? I have heard good things about the Conforti... Is the K&N (non-cone type) airfilter a good addition? Finally I have the plastic impeller water pump and it is working OK. Is it really advisable to replace it with the metal impeller type and is this something I can do my self?
