It sounds like the body shop didn't do a very good job fitting the new or repaired door back on your car. It also sounds like the paint (finish) work wasn't what it should be either. There is no excuse in either case. Take it back to the body shop and request they fit the door properly and re-paint it.

1999 M3 coupe drivers side door was replaced after an accident. Now there is loud wind noise above 40MPH and the 'fit and finish' appears lacking when compared to the passenger side.
Is the any way to lessen the wind noise? New door seal? Maybe the door is an OEM door....is there a way to tell if this is original BMW equipment or OEM? Any other suggestions...even the radio does not drown out the noise.
