Well the 95 m3's come with a 3.0 liter engine and the 96-99 come with 3.2 liter's. they both make 240 hp, but the 3.2 makes a few more lbs of torque. i own a 95 with 46k miles and it is perfect. i have read that the 95 is a little bit smoother , but the problems with the 3.0 were fixed in the 3.2, such as over revving. it is much easier to over rev a 95 and i have read many cases where this has been done. just don't flick it back into 1st gear and you shouldn't over rev of course. it's all about common sense. either way with the 3.0 or 3.2 they are magnificent machines.
I want an E36 M3 to drive occasionally on the street and to Solo and track day with. Any real difference in the years? What is the market on these cars now? Any problem with higher mileage cars? Thanks.
