How many people here get nervous when they leave their m3 in a parking lot and/or are in a 'bad neighborhood' .. anything that you do to try to minimize the chance of vandalism ?

Because of this little fact I have been considering getting a more toned down vehicle like a 2001 Acura CL Type S. Its definitly not a sports car like the M3, but i only have 26k to work with and i question how good an m3 i can get for that.

In fact ..My brother has been trying to convince me that for 25k I can get a whole lot more car in the CL Type S (Less mileage, more comfort, more gadgets.. etc), and that the M3 requires a 2 car lifestyle(ie.. need a Commuter car, and use the m3 as the weekend car) .. and that it doesn't make sense to use for your everday life .. anyone care to comment on this viewpoint

Thanks ..

Lane

Don't park in bad areas,as far as the CL type S goes its a great car for the money but I really doubt that you could get one for 25k and new ones are in the low 30k range. So if you want a car that has all the luxury stuff with 0 or very low miles and goes good get the CL, but if you don't mind owning a 95 or maybe a 96 M3 with probably 40 to 60000mi I am sure you could find a nice one. The M3 has performance written all over it, and a uniqueness the Acura will never have. Are you more show or go?
