Yes the temp sensor on the drivers side bract duct is only for the OBC input. Thats all.

Air conditioning ambient temp. is taken from another temp. sensor located underneath the cowl
area close to the lower part of the passenger windshield wiper behind the black trim. Interior temp. sensor is located in the AC control module (IHKA).
