SMOG failure... Air Injection System??? (archive)

My 95 just failed the smog check... On the report, it stated that the "thermostatic air cleaner" was modified which I can resolve by re-intalling the stock airbox. But what worries me is the "air injection system" failure... can someone get me details on this or is there any simple remedy for this failure??? thanks in advance...
