I recently had the new height adjustable competition model installed in my 99 M3. Very positive throws, yet first gear is sometimes difficult to engage (might be b/c its been cold here recently). Overall, I'm very satisfied with the UUC SS - its important to note that the SS gives off a slight gear whine noise at higher RPM's and under hard acceleration...
