I raced a manual Z28 with a borla cat-back. I took him of the line and stayed ahead up to 80mph, from there the cheap piece of metal with a big engine car slowly moved to 3/4 car-length lead to 130mph. Know that there are'nt very big performance differences between the Z28 and the SS. Also know that his 5.7 L V8 dwarfs my 3.0L I6 but I still easily run with him. Just to note, after the little race, I talked with the Z owner who said, "still, at the end of the day you drive a BMW and I drive ...a Chevy"
