Thanks for the help on assessing this price everyone. Peter, the "sport package" is -- well, I don't know. I've seen this in other ads, and I first thought, "aren't all M3's 'sport'?" It has the three spoke wheel and, uh -- I'm really not sure what constitutes a sport package.

My one concern is the mileage. Is a 2-3 yr old M3 with 58k something I can anticipate using for *another* 100,000 miles or so before I start to think about major $$$ to keep it going, assuming it's in great mechanical shape right now? I'd appreciate anyone's comments on their experience with high mileage M3's.

Anyway, I like this car a lot. I've driven three of these now (a 99, this 98, and a 97 4 dr), and I've owned a 1967 1600, a '71 2002, and my folks had a '78 320i. The M3 feels familiar in some ways. The 1600 and 2002 both went over 200,000 miles before I sold them. The 1600 had the original clutch, no kidding. They were rusting like hell, but they started up and ran no matter what and had almost no work put into them that was more than std maintenance. I hope this thing has the same potential to run hard for a long time.

I like it. Thanks again.
