Stongard uses the same 3M material as Xpel uses but Stongard is a bit thicker (at least the light protection is thicker, not sure about the paint protection). The paint protection can be tricky to apply. I've done the Xpel on a 5-series. If you want to do it, make sure you get the installation video from them and watch it a few times. Go to their website and look for pics under install tips. Call "Tim" in tech support and go over the install beforehand - he's lots of help.

I don't have the car anymore. It was titanium silver and was barely noticeable. Not sure how it would show up on other colors though. Some poster on the 5-series board mentioned that bug stains left on for a while cause it to stain slightly yellow in a few places (because it is somewhat of a porous-type material). If you have any concerns I'd e-mail the company. It can be removed and 3M makes an adhesive remover in a spray can that to my understanding does not harm most automotive finishes. Again, best to check with them first. If anyone needs or wants the 3M part no. for the adhesive remover, I can probably dig it out. It is available through most auto-parts stores. I found it at an independent. They seem to be better stocked in certain areas than the chain-type stores.
