You spent who knows how much on the full-blown Dinan set-up, and you are wondering whether a $100 ($50 used) x-brace is "worth it"? Haha. The answer is: absolutely. It has a tremendous impact on a stock M3 in terms of chasis rigidity and turn-in response. A modded suspension, 18" rims, autocross tires, etc. can all put more stress on the chasis, because larger twisting forces can be generated due to increases grip and g forces. Get a used x-brace for $50 and slap it on yourself in about 20 minutes. Its a no-brainer.
I know that a major improvement will be noticed when installing a x-brace to stock suspension but will an improvement be noticed on modified suspension??
I currently have Dinan stage III suspension setup and was wondering how much improvement will be noticed with a x-brace. Is it worth it? If anyone has any advice, kindly share it.
