The supercharger will NOT make power down low. I have a Dinan stage two, so I have some expertise here. It really doesn't kick in until 4-5K rpm. Take the belt off the supercharger and see if it makes any difference, or add a boost guage. Could be the cams, especially if someone installed them wrong. If they are off a tooth on the chain the car would run very poorly up high, but my guess is the supercharger.Bill
I have no way of knowing that it's actually making boost or not. I am pretty sure that it's making boost, due to the fact that i've driven other m3s, and this one has a shit load more low end balls, but the top end just feels like the motor doesn't want to be reved. I got plans for putting a boost gauge and air fuel gauge in there, but until then, i have no way of knowing if it is boosting, because the damn thing doesn't make any noise. Any way i can tell without feeling it in the seat of your pants?
