For those of you who know I'm wrong,
then feel free to correct me, but I'm
told that there are only 3 or so companies
that actually make the kits themselves
and send them off to companies like
Brembo, KVR Performance, AC Schnitzer,
or Racing Dynamics to sell them with
their own names on em. AP Racing and
Alcon are two such companies.

I believe Stop Tech rotors and calipers
are actually made by Alcon. However,
I know for a fact that getting brakes
directly from Alcon is far from cheap.
It's kinda weird and I never understood
why. but it's clear that the brakes you
get from Alcon are not the same as those
sold by the companies which buy from Alcon.
Know what I mean? Very odd.

My advice to you... I already ordered my
Stop Tech kit for my M. I should be getting
it today as a matter of fact. Now if it's
a great set, then it'll be the best bang
for buck. As far as I know, it's the only
kit out there that's less than $2k!!!! If you
have questions, ask Pete of Stratmosphere.com.
Tell him Peter from Philadelphia referred you.
He's an awesome guy.

As for the AP Racing kit, plan on spending
a lot more money. Based on what I hear and
see, the AP Racing kits are for true race
applications, much like the KVR Performance
brakes, which cost in the $5k-6k for a 4 or
6 pot setup!!!

If money is less of a concern for you, also
consider the Movit kit. I've driven an M
with the Movit kit. It definitely is a
huge improvement. And plus, it's also
very streetable and tolerable for daily
driving conditions. The Movit kit costs
$2500 or so.

Good luck.

Cheers,

PeterM3
