"Death-trap" alarm? (archive)

I noticed something by coincidence the other day about my alarm that was kind of cool yet scary. I had stepped out the car and left my girlfriend in the car with the sunroof open and by force of habit i put the alarm on. She wanted to get out and smoke a cigarette and it wouldnt let her out!~LoL. She said "THE STUPID DOOR THING WOULDNT POP UP! IT KEPT GOING DOWN!" When i came out i see her basically yelling out of my sun roof that i was trying to kill her (which sometimes isnt a bad idea.. j/k) but i was testing it my self and noticed it wouldnt let me out of the car for shit. Does that mean that the pin cant be pushed up from the outside with the alarm activited? Does anybody else have this "feature" with the alarm BMW installed?
