the clutch never came today as eric @ spp said it would. sort of figures, knowing my luck. it was last wednesday that i took the car in and discovered that i had the wrong part. it was last wednesday that i called up eric at spp. either way i cut it, someone really dropped the ball on this one.
i finally got sick of waiting for the part to come in, so i canceled the order this afternoon. i had wasted too much time and money calling up eric @ spp to see when my part is getting here and korman to apologize for taking up a lift. my decision was to go ahead and get the part from korman so i can finally get my car back.
i am really upset with spp and pro activ for screwing me over. maybe not so much eric's fault, but he's the one that recommended me the pro activ part and the one who sold it to me. i have ended up spending over $100 extra in dealing with this problem, all coming from my own pocket. eric is taking a loss as well, but only $40 or so. i asked if he could help me out a little in terms of covering part of the costs i have incurred, but all he could offer were some apologies.
i really want to commend korman autoworks of greensboro, nc for their help in this situation. they have kept my car since last wed and have been patient with me while i tried to get the right part. and they have met me in the middle in terms of my bill, saving me close to $80, but still close to $100 more than i would have been spending had i gotten the part from spp.
people criticized me for my first post saying i should take things up with eric first before posting. i have taken things up with eric and i am still very dissatisfied. i don't know if i will do business with him again, but i definitely will not recommend pro activ to anyone.
the thought of taking him to court to get reimbursed for my time and money have crossed my mind, but i guess i'll just suck it up and take the loss.
