software upgrades will NOT remove the rev limiter but rather make it a higher limit. it will, however, remove the speed limiter. in any case, i agree... you need to learn to control your shifts.

to control your shifts. Especially if you plan on getting any kind of software upgrade removing the limiter, which most people do. So far, you've been lucky the rev limiter is there! But hitting the rev limiter also cuts power to your car. If you want a faster shift, be sure to shift before you hit this power robbing point!!

After having gotten this new toy of mine about a week ago I'm still shocked as to how quick it accelerates to the rev limiter. Well long story short I promise I *won't* do it again. I've hit the rev limiter perhaps a half dozen times, how much am I ruining my engine?
