If I was in the market for an exhaust again (i'm 18) I'd narrow it down to 3 choices. All 3 being in straight tip. I'd choose gen 3 AA, B&B Triflo, or UUC. If you want deep, go for the UUC. The Triflo has more of a throaty sound to it like a modded corvette or another V8. It really sounds mean...UUC has a more deep sound to it, but not as throaty.
A couple of my friends, in the market for exhausts want to get B&B's after hearing mine. At the M3 meet, people were asking me what I was running...it's a popular sound.
I can assure you, if you get either of these 3 exhausts, you WILL be satisfied...I know it's a hard decision now, but once you make a choice, no matter which one it is...you'll be happy with it. All of them are wonderful choices.
I'm 18, but I hate being in cars where all you can hear is the exhaust. I got an M3 partially for the luxury quality of it and I want a fairly quiet ride. Also, I will be making frequent 5 hour drives during the year and I don't want to have to listen to an annoying droning coming from my exhaust for 5 hours straight. I just want something that is deep and sounds mean(especially at WOT), without the drone and a lot of interior noise. What do you think?
But from what I compared at idle and revving the engine, the loud isn't much louder than my quiet. How old are you? Us young kids don't seem to mind the sound, some like it louder. It's just the old fogies that complain that it's too loud. =P
But maybe I just don't notice because I'm always playin' music.
How does the Tri-Flo sound at cruising speeds? Does it drone you out? What do you think of it?
Looking into exhausts. Need opinions. AA looks really nice. UUC sounds badass. I hear Supersprint is whimpy. I hear all kinds of nightmare install stories. How the heck do you decide? What convinced you to go with (insert brand name here)?
