I've had two dealers tell me this straight up: "Cars in the Pacific Northwest are bought and sold based on the NADA guide." My experience in the Seattle area proves this to be quite accurate. Indeed, this is the guide you'll see on most every use car manager's desk.

Bottom line: When you're the purchaser, use the NADA guide. When you're a seller who wants to try to sell to an uneducated consumer, use KBB.
