I'll start off by saying that they were great when I upgraded my previous car's sound system (a Saturn). The instructions were detailed and terrific, and everything fit perfectly.

But they were sadly deficient when it came to my Bimmer. 1) They didn't send me the antenna adapter, 2) the installation instructions were grossly inadequate (and incorrect), and 3) the wiring instructions were wrong (had me hooking up one wrong wire). I ended up sending the whole thing back after their techs could give me no more advice than to let me know how their wiring instructions were incorrect and that "it should just fit." I ended up paying $50 more at Tweeter to have them install the head unit, just for convenience, plus $25 to replace my antenna plug (out of which the Crutchfield adapter, which was too tight, ripped out the center core).
