The Avant was introduced to provide the same performance in the sedan yet with more available storage space. Wagons have always been more popular in Europe compared to the SUVs we commonly see here. Check AudiWorld for more info.

'97 Dinan S/Cd M3

educate me on the correct name, at least give me some "useful" knowledge. Cuz I still am curious about what this car is all about. Thanks for any info, Scottdetroit

I saw this car at the Detroit Auto Show, and now there's one parked in my school's parking lot (I'm a teacher). Does this wagon have the same motor as the regular Audi S4? What kind of performance does it have. Just curious, cuz I like knowing that my 95 Dakar M3 is the baddest car in the parking lot, but I might have to relinquish that crown. But all the kids love the yellow bimmer!! Just curious, ScottDetroit
