AVS Sports are great tires. Compared to the S-02s' they have a stiffer sidewall, better dry grip, and cost way less. I'm just hitting 18K on mine, and they'd last longer except I did a lot of farting around with suspension stuff this year, and the right inside rear is worn funny due to alignment. I've autocrossed these tires in the rain, and they grip very nicely.

Downsides -- they are a little louder than the S-02s, but not as bad as the MXX3's I had before. While their grip is good in the wet, I think they might hydroplane a little easier, but I'm comparing 225s to 235s on that one, so not so sure.
