you'll want to use Koni's on an E36 M3 -- unless you're willing to void the Bilstein warranty and cut the bump stops. the Bilsteins we geta re actually meant for stock (euro) springs -- when you use a lowering spring youre esentially on the bump stops.

look at Dinan and TC Kline -- they use Koni.

Schnitzer uses Sachs -- same as OEM.

i just ended up going throught the same dilemma and decided that there are only two real 'choices': fresh OEM or Dinan. I'm cheap and don't like the idea of cutting and welding ot insert the cartridge so i went fresh OEM.

avoid the Bilsteins on the E36 M3.
