Same thing happened to me back in November. Stealer wanted $900+ to replace. F&CK THAT! I called some local auto glass places. Had one that I felt seemed the most reputable come out and replace mine. They did a really nice job and used BMW factory windshield moldings. The glass was NOT a BMW windshield. Total cost was $160. I later found out that if I had asked for the BMW windshield, it would have only costed me about $250 more, which I would have gladly paid for had I known they could get it for me. Oh well, I'm happy with the new glass. Looks the same, just doesn't have the little BMW logo at the corner.



I have a '97 E36 M3, when i got in my car this mornning, i discovered a 7-8inch long crack on the wind shield, infront of driver seat.
Anyone knows how much it costs to have the glass replaced with a new one? i'm in the DC\VA area, anyone knows local places? thanks again.
